During May 23 to 26, Wu Yucheng, Secretary of TYUT CPC, paid an academic visit to Germany.
During the visit, Wu Yucheng attended the seminar “materials for sustainable energy development” (international symposium on energy collection materials and devices) at the University of Cologne, and gave an academic report entitled " Research Progress in Preparation and Characterization of the Second-phase Strengthening W-based Composite for the Future Fusion Reactor".
In his report, he pointed out that optimizing the preparation process of powder and deforming it to improve and strengthen the thermal and mechanical properties of W-based composites will be the main research direction in the future.
On 25th, Wu visited the department of mathematics and natural sciences at University of Cologne and discussed the processing and utilization of energy materials in depth with the professors. He introduced TYUT’s latest progress in the field of new materials research, made the plan for the following research cooperation and witnessed the signing of the academic exchange agreement between the two sides.
Afterwards, Wu visited Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg on May 26, exchanging in-depth views with vice-chancellor of the university on cooperation of scientific research and teaching.
This tour is of great significance and far-reaching influence for TYUT’s education internationalization.
