On May 21 in Paris, Francois Aumboucher, president of the academic committee of École Supérieure Libre d’art de Paris (ESLAP) presided over the awarding ceremony in the hall of honor at the main campus of ESLAP. Wu Yucheng, secretary of TYUT’s CPC, was awarded Médaille d'honneur honoraire Titre in recognition of his outstanding academic attainments and important contributions to the promotion of scientific research and teaching cooperation between the two universities.
President Aumbucher said that ESLAP has always been adhering to the principles of tolerance and openness, and attaching importance to international art exchanges. Since the establishment of friendly relations between the two universities in 2014, the exchange of the two universities have been frequent. In 2017, 10 students from ESLAP studied in College of Art at TYUT for one month, which enabled them to experience the friendship and enthusiasm of TYUT and have a deeper and more direct understanding of Chinese culture and art. In the summer vacation of 2018, 20 young teachers from TYUT came to ESLAP to learn about French culture, art and philosophy, and communicate with the masters of ESLAP, which deepened the friendship and promoted the mutual learning between different civilizations.
He said, due to the great support and hard work of Wu Yucheng, the exchange program between the two sides became effective. In view of this, the academic committee of ESLAP approved Médaille d'honneur honoraire Titre to Wu. He expressed his sincere gratitude and congratulation to Wu.
Wu said that he was very honored to receive the medal, which is both a personal honor and a witness of the cooperation between the two universities. The traditional friendship between China and France is profound. With the close cooperation and broad prospects, he hoped that the cooperation and exchange between the two universities will be better and more practical.
Wu pointed out that “The Belt and Road” put forward by Chinese president provides a historical opportunity for the win-win cooperation and development between China and Europe, hope that the two schools in the "area" initiative under the guidance of grand blueprint, further effectively integrate education resources, improving the quality of personnel training, promoting the school cooperation to a new level. It is hoped that under the guidance of “The Belt and Road”, the two universities will further the integration of educational resources, improve the quality of talent cultivation and push the cooperation between the two universities to a new level.
