(1) Design and development of Mg/Al alloy and Mg/Al matrix composite with high strength and ductility.

(2) Hot deformation of Mg/Al alloy and Mg/Al matrix composite.

(3) Microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg/Al alloy and Mg/Al matrix composite.

(4) Interface design and optimization of Mg/Al alloy and Mg/Al matrix composite.

(5) Corrosion and protection of Mg/Al alloy and Mg/Al matrix composite.
