From Dec. 12th to 21st, TYUT’s delegation consisted of members from College of Physical Education and College of International Education Exchange paid a visit to Korean at the invitation of Dankook University and Kookmin University.
During their stay in South Korea, the delegation was invited to visit National Assembly and was warmly received by Li Tongxie, a member of National Assembly in charge of sports and cultural development, and Kim SongSam, first deputy minister of the sports, culture and tourism department. They fully affirmed that the visit could promote sports and cultural exchanges between Chinese and South Korean universities, and placed high expectations on the in-depth cooperation between our university and the other two South Korean universities. Liu Runxiang, deputy party secretary of TYUT, briefly introduced TYUT’s history, its current development situation and the future vision. He also informed the schedule and the intention of exchanges and cooperation. At parting, Mr. Liu, on behalf of party secretary Wu Yucheng and president Huang Qingxue, sincerely invited the South Korean delegation to visit TYUT in the future.
During the exchange, Zhang Haoxing, president of Dankook University, met with all members of the delegation. Through friendly and in-depth communication with some leaders of the two university, the two sides reached broad consensus and signed a cooperation framework agreement at university level. Also, the delegation drew up the cooperation matters between Physical Education Institute of Kookmin University and TYUT’s College of Physical Education and College of International Education Exchange, which would implement in 2019 on agreement.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the education institution for oversea students, the campus, sports venues and facilities, etc., conducting a full investigation of education environment for overseas students. The visit was supported by TYUT’s excellent alumni Wu Yingsong, director general of the S. Korean embassy in China, and Wang Weiyue, president of Association of Overseas Chinese in S. Korea.
