TYUT Holding Special Meeting on Cooperative Education with Saint Petersburg Mining University

On the afternoon of February 4th, TYUT held a special meeting on cooperative education with Saint Petersburg Mining University. The meeting was conducted in an online-plus-offline format. Yang Xiaowei, TYUT Academic Vice President, and Lyubin, SPMU Vice Rector, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, on behalf of TYUT, Yang expressed gratitude to the Russian team for their continuous efforts over the past six months to advance the collaboration between TYUT and SPMU, and specifically conveyed greetings from Shen Xingquan, Secretary of TYUT’s Party Committee, to SPMU Rector Vladimir Litvinenko. He noted that the strong alliance between TYUT and SPMU in the fields of energy and mining holds significant strategic importance, and expressed hope that both sides would seize the opportunity presented by the launch of the “China-Russia Years of Education” to jointly set a benchmark for higher education cooperation between China and Russia.

Vice Rector Lyubin responded positively to TYUT’s arrangements for cooperative education, stating that the Russian side places great importance on this collaboration and will make every effort to coordinate and advance the relevant work.

During the meeting, the heads of relevant disciplines from both sides conducted in-depth and practical discussions on the cultivation models and curricula for the cooperative program, reaching an important consensus on the next phase of work.
