Professor Zhu Yongfa is doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University and deputy director of the national center for electronic spectroscopy in Beijing. He obtained the doctor degree at Tsinghua in 1995. From 1995 to 1997, he conducted post-doctoral research in department of chemistry at Ehime University in Japan. Since July in 1988, he has been working in Tsinghua on the reserach of thin-film material, nano material, environmental catalysis and photocatalysis.
His main research directions are energy photocatalysis and environmental catalysis. He has undertaken 973 and 863 projects of Ministry of Technology and Science, key projects of Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), instrument project of NSFC, basic research on key international cooperation projects and general projects.
He has been awarded with one second prize for National Natural Science Awards (NSA), two first prize and one second prize for Ministry of Education NSA, a second prize and a third prize for Ministry of Educaiton Science and Technology Progress (STP). He has published 328 SCI papers, among which there are 2 hot papers, and 34 papers with high ESI citations. The total number of citation is over 21750 times with each paper cited 66.59 times in average.
