In 2018, a total of 638 projects at Taiyuan University of Technology have applied for funding from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). This is 111 higher than in the same period last year, which is an increase of 21.06%, a 13.58% higher improvement than over the preceding year. This is a new record for the number of NSFC applications at Taiyuan University of Technology, exceeding the expected application aim of 621 projects.
Among these projects, 255 projects are for the general program, 299 are for the young scientists fund, 3 are for the excellent young scientists fund, 14 are for the national science fund for distinguished young scholars, 13 are for the key program, and 2 are for the international cooperation and exchange program. The number of applications has seen growth in a wide variety of areas this year.
