China-UK Workshop on Catalytic Chemistry and Chemical Technology of C1 Compounds Was Held

From November 26 to 28,  China-UK Workshop on Catalytic Chemistry and Chemical technology of C1 Compounds was held in Taiyuan, hosted by the Key Laboratory of Clean and Efficient Utilization of Coal-based Energy,co-hosted by Institute of Coal Chemistry,ChineseAcademy of Sciences and Editorial Department of CIESC Journal.




This workshop is a Sino-British bilateral cooperation project jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and British Council. The project was jointly initiated and undertaken by Professor Wang Baojunfrom Taiyuan University of Technologyand Professor Hu Peijun from Queen's University Belfast. Feng Guorui, Standing Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of TYUT,  attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech. Zhang Guojun, Director of Chemical Science Department of National Natural Science Foundation of China delivered an opening speech. Li Jinping, deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of  TYUT, attended the academic discussion via vedio link between China and Britain, and delivered a closing speech.

The conference was conducted online and offline, including 25 presentations by young scholars, 9 keynote presentations by tutors, and 2 invitedlectures. Scholars from Tianjin University, University of Science and Technology of China, East China University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Hunan University, Dalian University of Technology, Jilin University, Northwest University, Shaanxi Normal University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, Institute of Coal Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, Editorial Department from CIESC Journal, Cardiff  University, Queen`s University Belfast, University college London, Northumbria University, Imperial college London, University of Liverpool, University of Manchester, University of Leeds, more than 20 universities and academic institutions participated in the conference and academic discussion.
