Gomel State University of Belarus, University of Wollongong of Australia, and University of Skövde of Sweden Visit TYUT

On June 26, Gomel State University of Belarus, the University of Wollongong of Australia, and the University of Skövde of Sweden visited TYUT to discuss topics such as joint talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and participation in international projects. Vice President Sang Shengbo met with representatives from the three universities.

TYUT Officially Joining the University of the Arctic (UArctic), Embarking on a New Journey of International Cooperation in Polar Research

From June 6 to June 9, the UArctic Assembly was held in Inari, Finland. After deliberation and voting by the Assembly, TYUT was successfully admitted to UArctic with a high approval rate of 96.34%, becoming one of the 21 new members approved at this year’s Assembly.

Leaders of Taiyuan University of Technology Visit Russia and the UK for Cooperative Exchange

At the invitation of Saint Petersburg Mining University in Russia and Newcastle University in the UK, Vice President Sang Shengbo led a delegation to Russia and the UK for cooperative exchange visits from May 25 to June 1.

President Sun Hongbin Meets Delegation from the Association of African Private Universities

On May 22, President Sun Hongbin met with a delegation from the Association of African Private Universities at Pengfei Auditorium in Mingxiang Campus. The delegation was led by Zhang Na, head of the delegation, and included Hamidou Hamadou, President of the Association of African Private Universities and President of Niger Information Technology University, as well as Zhao Xiping, President of the Shanxi Society of World Economics.

  • TYUT and Saint Petersburg Mining University Holding Online Working Meeting

    On the afternoon of May 16, an online working meeting between Taiyuan University of Technology and Saint Petersburg Mining University of Russia was held in Conference Room 1 on the fourth floor of the Administrative Building of Mingxiang Campus. Attendees included Evgeniy Lyubin, SPMU Vice Rector for International Affairs; Marat Leonidovich Rudakov, SPMU Vice Rector for Special Projects; and Sang Shengbo, TYUT Vice President. Also present were Oleg Kazanin, Dean of the SPMU Mining Faculty; teachers Valentin Morenov and Li Yunpeng; as well as heads of the International Cooperation Department, the Graduate School, and the College of Mining Engineering at TYUT.
