
To further advance open education and optimize the global cooperation landscape, Vice President Sang Shengbo visited the Embassy of Uruguay in Beijing on October 24th. He held talks with Mariana Seoane, Vice Rector of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (Udelar), and formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding between TYUT and Udelar.
On June 26, Gomel State University of Belarus, the University of Wollongong of Australia, and the University of Skövde of Sweden visited TYUT to discuss topics such as joint talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and participation in international projects. Vice President Sang Shengbo met with representatives from the three universities.
From June 6 to June 9, the UArctic Assembly was held in Inari, Finland. After deliberation and voting by the Assembly, TYUT was successfully admitted to UArctic with a high approval rate of 96.34%, becoming one of the 21 new members approved at this year’s Assembly.
At the invitation of Saint Petersburg Mining University in Russia and Newcastle University in the UK, Vice President Sang Shengbo led a delegation to Russia and the UK for cooperative exchange visits from May 25 to June 1.
