
To further advance the internationalization of higher education, continuously deepen inter-institutional collaboration, and strengthen the foundation of Sino-foreign cooperative education, Professor Muhammad Hadi from the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia, was invited to visit the College of Mechanical Engineering of TYUT for an exchange seminar on the afternoon of April 23. The seminar was attended by Ding Hua, Associate Dean of the College; Jiao Shaoni, International Affairs Secretary; Shang Qinqin, from the Operations Support Office; and faculty representative Wang Zhong.
Recently, Rees Tyrrell, a British teacher from Taiyuan University of Technology, was featured in a special multi-platform report by China Global Television Network (CGTN) of China Media Group, highlighting his cultural exploration journey in Shanxi.
On the afternoon of April 14, a delegation led by Mr. Jeffrey Greene, Chairman of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, visited TYUT for an exchange. The symposium was held in the first-floor conference room of the Conference Center on Yingxi Campus. Attendees included Mr. Cui Xianfeng, Level II Bureau Rank Official of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province; Ms. Tian Fengjuan, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division of the Shanxi Provincial Education Department; representatives from the Shanxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; and Mr. Cheng Yongqiang, Vice President of TYUT.
On the afternoon of March 31, Professor Bikash Pal from Imperial College London (ICL), who is also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) and a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to TYUT’s “Qiushi Lecture Series.” He delivered a keynote lecture titled “Stability Modelling and Analysis of Converter Driven Power System” in the conference room on the first floor of the Conference Center, Yingxi Campus. The lecture was hosted by TYUT’s President, Professor Sun Hongbin. The lecture was attended by the head of the College of Electrical and Power Engineering, as well as faculty and student representatives from relevant disciplines.
